Welcome to Hamburg!
This green jewel in the north is Germany’s second biggest city after Berlin with approx 1.8 million inhabitants. Famous not only for the red light district coming with Germany’s largest port (9th largest in the world) but also for its sea and water atmosphere with over 2300 bridges. That’s more than Amsterdam and Venice combined.
But not only by water it is easy to reach both North and Baltic Sea, some beautiful beaches can be reached by car or public transport within one hour.
The city itself offers a huge variety of distractions as theatres, orchestras, museums, tourist attractions, a handful of beautiful parks and authentic places to gather and enjoy your time in this lovely city. As for the latter you will find crazy places and also not-so-crazy-but-actually-very-nice places within St. Pauli, the old seamens’ quarter harbouring the red-light district. You can find a unique atmosphere of political freedom in the “Schanzenviertel” with a lot of small and independent bars. And you can walk around Altona with an atmosphere of a painter’s loft.
To cut it short here: Come, see and enjoy your time in Hamburg!
