We are a group of students of the Technische Universitaet Hamburg-Harburg and we would like to make it easy for the foreign exchange students to settle during the first weeks in Germany.

I‘m studying Civil and Environmental Engineering at TUHH. Joining ESN Hamburg and the Mentor AG is a fantastic possibility to get to know great people from all over the world. Between school and university I stayed in New Zealand for half a year and it was the best tieme of my life! So I hope we can help you to have an amazing time in Hamburg (one of the most beautiful cities in Germany) that you‘ll never forgt your abidance here. Being away frome home is always an agitating and suspenseful time, we‘re befriending you before and during your stay in Hamburg. For a trip to Hamburg I recommend to enjoy nice weather at the plateau at Landungsbrücken to have a nice view over the ships or at „Planten un Blomen“. From May to September „Planten un Blomen“ is offering a water/light-concert in the evening with weekly changing music. If you‘re hungry I advise you to eat a Kumpir at S-Bahn Sternschanze. It‘s a huge potatoe and you can choose different sorts of filling. Really yummy!

I study Mechatronics at the TUHH and am active member of the Mentor AG/ESN Hamburg. Why so? Well, it makes a lot of fun being in touch with international people! And apart from that, I know how it feels like coming to a place where people don't speak your language and where you are completely on your own the first time in your life... Luckily there's us! Being a Mentor, I keep trying my best to provide our exchange students with the information and help they need, and to organize events for them that later make them remember Hamburg and TUHH as the place where they had the time of their life!

Moin, Moin!
I study Geosciences at the University in Hamburg and joined the Mentor AG in April 2009 shortly before the event “ESNyway“.
Since then I had a lot of fun working for the Erasmus Section in Hamburg. My Hamburg recommendation: During summer barbecue in the “Stadtpark” or at the “Alster”. And don’t miss a tour by night on the Reeperbahn.

Hey guys,
I study Energy and Environmental Engineering at the TUHH and I am a member of the Mentor AG. I am mainly responsible for the website.
I love the international environment and that is why I became a member of the Mentor AG. During my travels in Europe and America I experienced how important and fun it is to meet and get to know local people. That's why I want to help our exchange students at my university to make their stay a unforgettable experience. Come to Hamburg and enjoy the City!

Mechanical Engineering, Major: Product Design and Development
Why joining ESN: Interest in intercultural exchange, representing my country/city in a positive way, meeting friendly people, speaking foreign languages, helping exchange students the way they helped me when I was studying abroad.
Recommendation for Hamburg: Kampai Sushi Bar at "Hamburger Berg 25", Tower Bar at Hotel Hafen Hamburg (Happy Hour from 6 'til 7 pm), Zoe 2 (Sofabar) at "Neuer Pferdemarkt 17", Cycling in the area between Finkenwerder and Stade (especially in spring)
Heiko
Mechanical Engineering (Aircraft Systems Engineering)
joined ESN/Mentor-AG because I had an awesome time abroad myself and now want everybody else to enjoy a great exchange experience, too!
Tip: Aimlessly riding the ferries up and down the harbour and then going for a cheap beer in the Wohnheimbar Ebelingstraße, every Tuesday night.

Joined the esn-HH Team because he thinks;
with only one “exchange” for everybody, the world would be a better place.
“sommersalon” and “barbarabar” are always good for a nightly visit, but if you want to drink a real good Mexicana (2cl spicy shot) try the one at “LunacY” What I like most about Hamburg? Easy, everything! Except the weather maybe :)
Willkommen in der Perle des Nordens,
Thomas
